ATLAS Jewellery Showroom now open at Global Village – India Pavilion, Dubai

ATLAS Jewellery opened its store showcasing an exquisite collection of Gold and Diamonds today at the Global Village – India Pavilion, Dubai as part of the DSF activities. It is the first Jewellery outlet at the India Pavilion to have opened this year. The ATLAS store was inaugurated by Dr. M.M. Ramachandran, Chairman - ATLAS Jewellery. The ceremony was done in the presence of  Mr. Sunil Bhattiya, CEO of Global Village-India Pavilion and other eminent business personalities. After the traditional lighting of the lamp, chocolates were distributed to the gathering. “The showroom looks very impressive. We have a wide range of Jewellery to choose from. I am sure I will be coming back with my family and friends” said one of our loyal customers.

Oman’s ATLAS Hospital celebrates Delivery of First Baby!

ATLAS Hospital celebrated the birth of the first baby ever delivered at the facility at 09:40AM on Thursday, November 11. Healthy baby girl, Ridaa Batool, weighed 2.9 kilograms and measured 47 centimeters long. The baby was delivered by cesarean section performed by obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Pallavi Shukla Misra and the team of attending doctors consisted of Dr. Rajesh Eapen – Anesthetist and Dr. Santosh Ramaswamy – Pediatrician.

Proud parents Safiya and Injaz, who already have two boys, were thrilled to welcome a baby girl into their family. They were ecstatic after the delivery as they had planned to be the first parents to deliver their child at the new hospital. “We are so excited that ATLAS Hospital was open around the time of the expected birth of our baby and we are so pleased that my wife was able to deliver here.” said Injaz surrounded by family and holding his baby daughter. As a special gift Ridaa was presented with a gold coin as a symbol of luck as well a “Privilege Card” which entitles her to one year of free consultations at ATLAS Hospital by Dr. Rajagopal Naganathan the Medical Director.

The surgery went smoothly for mother and baby. “The new hospital is a wonderful place, it feels like home. I love the rooms - they are nice and big and very family-oriented” remarked Safiya of the high quality facilities at ATLAS. The newly launched hospital in Ruwi is the flagship hospital of the ATLAS Group and features spacious labor and delivery rooms, state-of-the art technology and extra amenities to mimic the comforts of home. In addition, ATLAS offers an extensive range of medical care programs, easy access to doctors and a wide range of specialties. The 50 bedded, multi specialty hospital has two modern operating theatres, well-equipped intensive care units and special care baby units sprawling over 4000 square meters. The hospital is located near Sheraton Hotel in Ruwi on the way to Wadi Kabir.

“Our new hospital will serve the local Omani community and expat population and will provide a service to be proud of. We have a modern facility with services of a high standard. I hope that women choosing to have their babies with us will find the hospital welcoming and a place they can be proud of to give birth in.” said M.M. Mr. M.M. Ramachandran’s Directorial Debut!

M. M. Ramachandran, Chairman, ATLAS Group is making his directorial debut with a youth oriented Malayalam film titled ‘Holidays’ starring Kalabhavan Mani, Harishree Ashokan, Vinu Mohan and Muktha.

The Pooja of the film was held at Hotel Sarovaram, Kochi on June 18, 2010 at 10.30 AM.

The movie is about a few IT students from Kerala who are studying in Bangalore. With Alex Paul handling the music and Kaithapram Damodaran Nampoothiri the lyrics, the songs are set to be a super hit. The highlight of course will be the song by famous singer Shankar Mahadevan. Songs will be picturised in Kuala Lumpur and the Movie will be shot at various locations in Munnar and Kochi.

Mr. Ramachandran was seen as an actor in many recent Malayalam films. He played noted characters in films like Arabikatha and 2 Hariharan Nagar.

‘Vaishali’ his debut film production was an all time classic in the Malayalam Film Industry. Sukrutham, Dhanam, Kauravar, Chakoram, Vasthuhara, Innale and Venkalam are hit films which were either produced or distributed by him. A number of his films were selected to Indian Panorama and acclaimed with critical appreciation and won prestigious awards.
